Michael Barone on Blogosphere politics (tip to Instapundit)

The wise, not-so-old man of US politics, Michael Barone, gives his perspective on the effect of blogging on politics as a whole. Some pretty sound judgment overall, which is par for the course for Barone (I enjoy his commentary on Fox News, especially on the Special Report with Brit Hume). What makes his analysis noteworthy is that he correctly identified both the distinct focus and distinct structure of the 'left' and 'right' blogospheres (using those categories loosely). The 'left' blogosphere is focused on criticizing Bush and the GOP and centers around Kos. The 'right' blogosphere is focused on criticizing the mainstream media and doesn't so much have an ideological or spiritual leader to parallel Kos.
